Agree Greg

The host has the evening under his control. The host would familiarize himself with all rules and procedures and make calls accordingly. Having two chiefs in one room may cause confusion.

I think the biggest issue here is me saying no restarts. The reason for me saying this is that having a quali and two heats in one night can potentially drag on, we have even had guys quit the evenings racing because its just becames one issue after the other in the past. Then the next day we will be hit with those moaning it took too long to get going.

If we could agree to adhere to only one restart per race, then good. Just remember the host will then have to set the grid up according the pic taken from quali.

And just to explain, no restarts was really intended for the auto bug issue. And this is where this all started.

There was also a suggestion from Jason to have a whatsapp group per pool per race. Only for that round and all issues can be communicated there?

PS4 party hold 8........ :'(
Typing for hosts is terrible as Rod mentioned....... :'(

We have an opportunity now to solve these issues.

A restart for an auto drive issues for me is useless because it wont solve it, but for lag / DC on formation / etc etc , maybe our GT6 approach is still best

Another suggestion.

We need a thread where all voluntary hosts can put down their names/line type/speed up,down/ping/area.

Of this pool of volunteers it will be easier to see who is able and obviously willing.

If the restart procedures needs an update then we probably need to look at that to.

Lobby open :20:00pm
Drivers numbers confirmed : 20:15pm
Reset of track : 20:20pm (only change the time of track and dont select a totally new track)

The 10min before 20:30pm is to ensure everyone can see everyone.

Start qualify once the above is confirmed.

Start race immediately after 15min qualify.

Formation lap, if auto drive is confirmed, then one restart should be allowed. If auto drive is confirmed by more than two drivers then backup host should immediately start new lobby and new race start 21:00pm. No further restarts even for race 2 after this procedure was followed.

In an event that race 1 went smooth but race 2 has auto drive or lag on formation lap then only 1 restart attempt should happen but no changing of host or new lobby.

This could work guys.....thoughts?

My suggestion is in future, maybe during the practice session, if there are issues with people seeing each other or lag, lets try the backup host at that point?

I hear you bud, and I respect your views on this massively, you are right, we could try the back up.....yes. However the host at the time needs to make that call, lessons learnt and experience gained, due to the lack of regular hosts and guys jumping in at the last minute doesn't solve the fact that some calls on the night could have been better judged, but we have to still respect the hosts for firstly stepping up and secondly for taking control of the evenings issues as best they can. I still dont believe its based on buddies first. Its a pressure pot of note when trying to host. I for one have become used to it, but for some that haven't done it enough, its hectic.

I am sorry for your fustrations
